End of the world, climate fiction, twilight of the gods
Reverdy's "Climax" depicts the devastated natural world of northern Norway, set against the backdrop of a fishing village, with dying bears and fish, melting glaciers, and an oil platform accident. As in the Nordic legend, a clash of two principles unfolds. The end of the world is heralded in this dystopian novel, as dark as it is beautiful.
